Siemens Energy has secured a deal to supply the Hamburg Green Hydrogen Hub with 100MW of electrolyser capacity, scheduled for installation the following year. The hub, developed by Luxcara and Hamburger Energiewerke, was recognized as an Important Project of Common European Interest by the EU earlier this year, enabling significant government backing. In a move to support the project, the federal government and city of Hamburg have granted €250m towards the HHGH and the initial 40 km of the 'HH-WIN' pipeline network. This initiative signifies a substantial advancement in green hydrogen production and infrastructure development, reinforcing the commitment towards sustainable energy solutions.
