Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu virtually inaugurated the Hero Future Energies' green hydrogen blending plant at Rockman Industries in Tirupati, marking a significant milestone in the state's pursuit of green energy. The project is focused on integrating green hydrogen with PNG/LPG for industrial furnace applications, a move aimed at cutting carbon emissions. Aligned with the Swarna Andhra Vision 2047, the initiative aligns with the state's ambition to establish itself as a global green hydrogen hub. The project falls under the Integrated Clean Energy Policy-2024 (ICEP), which sets a target of achieving 160 GW of renewable energy capacity. The Chief Minister emphasized the policy's focus on green hydrogen production, electrolyser manufacturing, and hydrogen-powered mobility, showcasing the state's commitment to reducing fossil fuel dependence, enhancing energy security, and contributing to India's Net-Zero by 2070 goal. HFE Chairman Rahul Munjal highlighted the project's significance in industrial decarbonisation, providing industries with an innovative approach to emission reduction through the blending of green hydrogen with LNG. The inauguration ceremony symbolizes a step towards a sustainable future for Andhra Pradesh and underscores the state's proactive stance towards green energy development.
