EET Fuels, a leading player in industrial decarbonization, has recently secured new financing facilities totaling USD 350 million, indicating strong market confidence in the company's decarbonization strategy and future prospects. The company, a part of Essar Oil (UK) Ltd, is focused on transforming into the leading low carbon process refinery, with ambitious plans to achieve a 95% reduction in carbon emissions. Additionally, EET Fuels aims to turn Stanlow into an energy transition hub, incorporating industrial carbon capture, low carbon hydrogen production, and Europe's inaugural hydrogen-fueled combined heat and power plant. This move positions EET Fuels at the forefront of industrial decarbonization globally. The new financing arrangements include a USD 150 million facility with Afreximbank, the Pan-African multilateral financial institution, along with an increase in the trade credit financing facility to USD 500 million. These financial moves are designed to support EET Fuels in its decarbonization ambitions, fortifying its financial foundation and expanding its reach into new African markets.
