EXG Completes Transport of Critical Modules for Saudi Arabia's Green Hydrogen Project
Key Ideas
  • Express Global Logistics (EXG) successfully transported 14 critical modules, each weighing up to 250 tonnes, for a green hydrogen energy project in Saudi Arabia.
  • Challenges during the transport process were overcome by using innovative solutions like in-house designed spacer combinations and coordination with the vessel ballast team.
  • Additionally, EXG recently managed the multimodal transport of hydropower equipment from India to Brazil, showcasing their expertise in complex logistics projects.
  • EXG's membership in the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) in India highlights its participation in international project logistics collaborations.
Express Global Logistics (EXG) has accomplished the transport and load-out of 14 crucial modules in southern India for the world's largest green hydrogen energy project in Saudi Arabia. These modules, each weighing up to 250 tonnes, were meticulously moved from the yard to the jetty using specialized SPMT configurations. While eight modules were rolled onto a ro-ro vessel using SPMTs, the remaining six were transported to the jetty and placed on the deck with the help of crawler cranes. EXG faced various challenges during the process, including managing higher loadout ramp heights caused by vessel structures, which were resolved through innovative solutions like in-house designed spacer combinations and coordination with the vessel's ballast team. In another impressive feat, EXG recently handled the multimodal transport of hydropower equipment from India to Brazil, showcasing their capabilities in managing diverse cargoes. These projects highlight EXG's expertise in handling complex logistics operations and its commitment to participating in international project logistics collaborations as a member of the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) in India.
