Gentari, a clean energy solutions provider, has signed a firm and binding Power Purchase Agreement with AM Green Ammonia India Private Limited (AMG Ammonia) to provide 650 MW of round-the-clock, carbon-free energy to power AMG Ammonia's upcoming green ammonia facilities. This collaboration includes the setup of approximately 2400 MWp of solar and wind energy capacity in India, integrated with 350 MW / 2100 MWh energy storage to ensure firm and dispatchable green power supply. The project, planned to be executed in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, signifies a significant advancement in Gentari's capabilities, aligning with the Renewable Fuels of Non-Biological Origin framework. One of the notable aspects of this agreement is the commitment to supply green power matching the demanding requirements of a green ammonia plant on both an annual and hourly basis. The agreement sets a new standard for carbon-free energy contracts, paving the way for future developments in the clean energy sector. AMG Ammonia aims to become one of the world's largest green ammonia producers, targeting 5 million tons per year by 2030, supporting India's and OECD markets' net zero goals. Gentari and AMG Ammonia's partnership reflects a joint commitment to drive renewable energy development in India and enhance the green electron-to-molecule chain.
