Honeywell has introduced Honeywell Protonium™, a suite of technologies powered by artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) aimed at boosting the efficiency and scalability of green hydrogen production. The first deployment of Honeywell Protonium™ will take place at the Mid-Atlantic Clean Hydrogen Hub (MACH2) by Aternium, a prominent US-based clean hydrogen producer. This initiative aligns with the US Department of Energy's recognition of seven national hydrogen hubs, including MACH2, for their contribution to clean energy development. The Honeywell Protonium™ portfolio addresses key challenges in green hydrogen production, such as power intermittency, carbon intensity reduction, and high production costs. By integrating predictive control algorithms, this technology enhances electrolysis efficiency, optimizes plant design, and increases operational sustainability and cost-effectiveness.
