During the 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas in Odisha, Union Minister for Railways, Ashwini Vaishnaw, announced the groundbreaking development of a hydrogen-powered train engine by the Indian Railways. The minister highlighted that only four countries currently have hydrogen-powered trains, with typically 500 to 600 horsepower outputs, emphasizing India's remarkable achievement in this sector.
