Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India and Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store of Norway met at the G20 Summit in Rio de Janeiro to discuss the progress in bilateral relations. They emphasized the importance of the India - European Free Trade Association - Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement in attracting investments from EFTA countries, including Norway. The discussions covered areas such as blue economy, renewable energy, green hydrogen, solar and wind projects, geo-thermal energy, green shipping, Carbon Capture Utilization & Storage (CCUS), fisheries, space, and the Arctic. Both leaders expressed commitment towards further enhancing cooperation in these fields. Additionally, they also touched upon regional and international issues of mutual concern, showcasing a positive outlook towards collaboration and partnership.
