Gensol Engineering Ltd and Matrix Gas & Renewables Ltd have landed a significant contract to pioneer India's first bio-hydrogen project for a major power generation company. The initiative aims to convert 25 tonnes of bio-waste into 1 tonne of hydrogen daily, making great strides in the country's renewable energy sector. With an estimated value of ₹164 Crore, the project is scheduled for completion within 18 months, aligning perfectly with the objectives of India's National Green Hydrogen Mission. Partnering with Westinghouse, renowned for its expertise in similar facilities globally, Gensol will construct a 25-tonne per day bio-waste processing unit and produce 1 TPD of green hydrogen using GH2-PREGS technology.
