A consortium comprising Gensol Engineering and Matrix Gas & Renewables has been chosen to set up India's inaugural Green Hydrogen Valley in Pune, Maharashtra. This project, undertaken in collaboration with the Department of Science & Technology and National Chemicals Laboratories, is part of the National Green Hydrogen Mission, aiming to propel hydrogen energy technology development in India. The initiative received financial backing from the government to develop detailed project reports for hydrogen valley innovation clusters. Notably, a green hydrogen valley is a defined region where green hydrogen serves multiple sectors such as mobility, industry, and energy, covering the entire value chain from production to distribution. The Managing Director of Gensol Engineering, Anmol Jaggi, expressed pride in leading the development of India's first green hydrogen valley project. The consortium's recent successes include securing contracts for a bio-hydrogen project, converting bio-waste into green hydrogen, and winning an auction for hydrogen electrolyzer manufacturing capacity under a government incentive program. These achievements underscore significant progress in advancing sustainable energy solutions in India and align with the country's vision for a greener future. The collective efforts of Gensol Engineering, Matrix Gas & Renewables, and government support signify a strong commitment to fostering a green hydrogen economy and reducing carbon footprints in the region.
