Evonik and Fuhua Tongda Chemicals Company have joined forces to establish a joint venture in Leshan, Sichuan, China, focused on producing specialty-grade hydrogen peroxide for applications including solar panels, semiconductors, and food packaging. The new entity, 'Evonik Fuhua New Materials (Sichuan) Co., Ltd.,' sees Evonik holding a 51% stake and Fuhua owning the remaining 49%. This collaboration follows a license agreement from 2023 where Evonik provided H2O2 technology to Fuhua for a 200-kiloton hydrogen peroxide megaplant. The joint venture will utilize H2O2 supplied by Fuhua for further purification. Anticipated to debut in the first half of 2026, the venture aligns with Evonik's strategy in the Asia Pacific region, focusing on green energy and electronics. Both companies express eagerness about the collaboration, emphasizing the synergy between Fuhua's resources and circularity approach and Evonik's advanced technology to deliver competitive solutions to the market.
