A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was recently exchanged between NTPC Green Energy (NGEL) and Honeywell UOP India to collaborate on the production of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). The collaboration aims to explore SAF production through a feasibility study that will utilize Honeywell's eFining technology and carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions captured from NTPC's power plants and green hydrogen projects. This MoU is part of NTPC's ambitious Green Hydrogen Hub in Pudimadaka, Andhra Pradesh, where SAF production plays a key role. The Green Hydrogen Hub spans 1,200 acres and is envisioned to serve as an integrated hub for green chemicals and sustainable manufacturing. The partnership combines Honeywell UOP's expertise in SAF production with NTPC's efforts in green hydrogen projects, highlighting a positive step towards sustainable aviation and green energy initiatives.
