In Bhubaneswar, Odisha, the government signed eight Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with Singapore-based companies across various sectors including skill development, semiconductor, sustainable energy, green hydrogen, and ammonia, industrial park development, insure-tech, and city development planning. These agreements were signed in the presence of Singapore's President Tharman Shanmugaratnam and Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi. The focus of the collaborations is to facilitate global investments, enhance technical training, and promote sustainable development and technological innovation in Odisha. President Tharman visited Odisha to discuss bilateral relations and explore opportunities for cooperation. Notably, agreements were made to expand technical education through partnerships with institutions like ITE Education Services, establish centers for IT and ITES, and promote semiconductor-related training programs. Additionally, agreements were signed to advance research in sustainable energy technologies and assess the development potential of green hydrogen production facilities and industrial parks. The collaborations aim to create employment opportunities and drive economic growth in the region. Furthermore, partnerships were formed to establish a global competency center for the InsureTech industry and strategically plan new urban developments in Odisha. These initiatives are set to unfold over the next year, marking a significant step towards Odisha's progress as a hub for technology, education, and renewable energy.
