Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for a series of development projects worth over ₹2 lakh crore in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Among these projects was the NTPC Green Energy Limited Green Hydrogen Hub Project at Pudimadaka, a ₹1,85,000 crore investment and the first Green Hydrogen Hub under the National Green Hydrogen Mission. The initiative, expected to invest in 20 GW renewable energy capacities, targets to become one of India's largest integrated green hydrogen production facilities. This project will produce 1500 TPD Green Hydrogen and 7500 TPD Green Hydrogen derivatives like green methanol, urea, and sustainable aviation fuel. In addition to promoting green energy, the Prime Minister also introduced railway and road development projects exceeding ₹19,500 crore to reduce congestion, enhance connectivity, and boost regional social and economic growth.
