A seminar on Safe Hydrogen Economy was recently held at Graphic Era Deemed University in Dehradun, India. Dr. Chitra Rajagopal from IIT Delhi highlighted the necessity of incorporating hydrogen safety into educational curricula. She emphasized the importance of creating safety plans early in the hydrogen production process and utilizing tools like big data. Dr. Rajagopal also stressed the significance of training the new generation on hydrogen safety to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the subject. The seminar discussed issues and solutions in hydrogen production, risk management, and transportation through case studies. Dr. Rajagopal called for research in areas like data analytics, electronics detectors, life cycle analysis, safety analysis, green energy, and biomass for hydrogen. The event, organized in collaboration with All India Council for Technical Education, aimed to raise awareness and provide training on hydrogen safety.
