The facility in India has secured land, and the project is progressing towards a front-end engineering design award after completing a feasibility study. The agreement, signed at the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework (IPEF) Clean Economy Investor Forum, involves Sembcorp working with Sojitz Corporation and Kyushu Electric Power Co Inc to finalize a green ammonia offtake agreement. This collaboration aims to produce 200,000 metric tonnes per annum of green ammonia using renewable energy sources. The project signifies a cross-border effort between Japan, Singapore, and India to accelerate the development of a low-carbon supply chain and promote a clean economy. Sembcorp's track record in India's renewable energy sector, with a portfolio of 4.7GW, reinforces its commitment to driving the energy transition.
