The Green Hydrogen Summit Oman 2025 is set to take place in Muscat from December 1–3, under the patronage of the Ministry of Energy and Minerals. The summit, organized by Birba Energy Services and in partnership with Hydrogen Oman, aims to advance Oman's green hydrogen sector by driving international collaboration, attracting investments, and creating a sustainable ecosystem. With over 50,000 square kilometers allocated for hydrogen development, Oman is strategically positioned to lead in this renewable energy sector. Dr. Firas bin Ali Al-Abdwani highlighted the summit's role in Oman's journey towards carbon neutrality, emphasizing the importance of green hydrogen in achieving this vision. Eng. Abdulaziz Al Shidhani stressed the summit's function as a knowledge hub and driver of integration, supporting Oman's national objectives in the green hydrogen sector. The summit, themed 'Hydrogen Management: Closing Gaps, Accelerating Action,' will address key priorities like regulatory barriers, financing, offtake challenges, and infrastructure readiness. Discussions will focus on local manufacturing, capacity building, and increasing in-country value to create a robust hydrogen economy for Oman's long-term benefit. GHSO 2025 is expected to draw 3,000 participants worldwide, showcasing Oman's growing influence in clean energy exports. With support from governmental and sectoral institutions, Oman's commitment to clean energy development and global leadership is reinforced. The summit is part of Oman's broader strategy to achieve Net Zero emissions by 2050, aligning with Oman Vision 2040 for sustainable development.
