Australian electrolyser company Hysata has entered a significant partnership with ACWA Power in Saudi Arabia to conduct commercial scale demonstrations of its high-efficiency capillary-fed electrolysis technology. The agreement marks a strategic move to accelerate the development of Hysata's electrolysers and benefit from ACWA Power's expertise in large capital projects, particularly the NEOM green hydrogen project. NEOM, expected to be the largest utility-scale hydrogen project globally, is well underway and will produce 600 tonnes of hydrogen daily by 2026. Hysata's collaboration with ACWA Power includes showcasing its technology in Saudi Arabia, marking a crucial step towards implementing high-efficiency electrolyser systems in ACWA Power's ventures. Hysata's CEO emphasized the significance of green hydrogen in decarbonizing industries and establishing new export markets for green products like iron and steel.
