Speaking at the International Conference on Green Hydrogen (ICGH-2024) in New Delhi, India's Minister of State for Power and New and Renewable Energy, Shripad Naik, highlighted the country's commitment to the 'Hydrogen Agenda'. He emphasized the transformative potential of Green Hydrogen in redefining energy systems, creating jobs, and securing a cleaner planet for future generations. The National Green Hydrogen Mission, with an initial outlay of Rs 19,744 crore, was presented as a comprehensive strategy encompassing various aspects like demand creation, production, R&D, infrastructure, and skill development. This mission aims to equip the youth with necessary skills to lead the way towards a sustainable future. Leaders like Professor Ajay K Sood and Bhupinder S Bhalla reiterated the importance of Green Hydrogen in meeting emission targets, creating new jobs, and decarbonizing India's energy sector. The focus on collective ambition, international collaboration, and innovation during the conference showcased India's dedication to transitioning towards a future where sustainability and economic viability converge through Green Hydrogen.
