Finnish technology company, Proventia, has partnered with UK-based fuel cell developer, Intelligent Energy, to supply two new test laboratories for their high-power hydrogen fuel cell systems. These laboratories, located at Chelveston Renewable Energy Park in Northamptonshire, UK, are set to be delivered in early 2025. The facilities will support the development of hydrogen fuel cell stack systems up to 325kW, crucial for the advancement of large-scale hydrogen systems. The testing facility will run on green hydrogen generated on-site, allowing Intelligent Energy to test their fuel cells for applications in cars, buses, trucks, stationary power, eVTOL, and passenger aircraft. Proventia's CEO emphasized the importance of green hydrogen in decarbonizing emissions-heavy sectors like aviation and heavy-duty machinery, highlighting hydrogen as a key energy solution for the future. Intelligent Energy's Operations Director praised Proventia for their role in scaling up testing facilities, enabling the delivery of high-quality, high-power products and strengthening their industry position. The collaboration between the two companies has led to the development of a robust and safe modular laboratory for fuel cell testing, ensuring continued advancement in product capabilities.
