Nel ASA and Saipem have introduced IVHY™ 100, a groundbreaking 100 MW green hydrogen solution designed to advance the decarbonization of challenging industries and promote renewable hydrogen production. The project leverages Nel's alkaline electrolysers known for their robustness, durability, and energy efficiency. IVHY™ 100 is scalable, modular, and aims to streamline the installation process for large-scale systems. As part of the collaboration, Nel will provide alkaline and PEM electrolyser technology, along with technical services, while Saipem will handle the engineering and construction aspects of the green hydrogen facilities. The initiative signifies a significant step in promoting sustainable solutions in the renewable hydrogen sector, with a focus on reducing carbon emissions and exploring hydrogen derivatives like ammonia and methanol. Saipem's Chief Commercial Officer expressed the company's commitment to utilizing renewable hydrogen to meet the demand for emission reduction in industries.
