DEKRA actively participated in the II National Green Hydrogen Congress held in Huelva, Spain, from February 4 to 6. The congress, a crucial event in the transition to a low-carbon economy, gathered a significant number of stakeholders including companies, journalists, speakers, and representatives from various institutions. One of the central themes of the congress was the certification of Hydrogen Refueling Stations (HRS). Fernando Rus Herrera, Technical Manager at DEKRA, addressed the challenges faced by these projects in Europe and Spain, emphasizing the need for a common European regulatory framework. The event highlighted the importance of safety in hydrogen refueling stations, crucial for the adoption of hydrogen as a sustainable energy vector. Spain has set ambitious goals for a network of public hydrogen stations by 2030, with DEKRA underlining the necessity of certification to ensure compliance with European standards and to guarantee safety and quality.
