The Centexs Hydrogen and Tech Safari 4.0 held in Miri, Malaysia, serves as a pivotal platform for fostering face-to-face interactions and information sharing among local communities, agencies, and industries. The event was opened by State Transport Minister, Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin, who emphasized the collaborative efforts between Centexs and the Ministry of Education, Innovation, and Talent Development. The initiative aims to drive Sarawak towards achieving high-income status by 2030 through community engagement and industry partnerships. The event, supported by various organizations including the Sarawak Multimedia Authority, focuses on engaging the community to achieve the state's development goals. State Transport Minister Lee highlighted the educational impact of the event, with 522 students from 11 schools attending. He stressed the importance of training youth in fields such as green energy, hydrogen, artificial intelligence, and robotics for Sarawak's progress. In line with the state's vision for economic growth and skilled human capital, efforts are being made to create new economic resources and offer free education for Sarawakian children at state-owned higher education institutions starting from 2026. Centexs plays a crucial role in providing programs and testbeds in various cutting-edge fields like green energy, hydrogen, electric vehicles, AI, and robotics, supported by partnerships with international industries. The Centexs Hydrogen and Tech Safari will continue its journey to Kapit, Lawas, and culminate in Kuching, following the event in Miri. The commitment to empowering Sarawak's development is evident through the collective efforts of various stakeholders and the engagement of youth in critical technological fields.
