Hygenco Green Energies Pvt Ltd has secured the Renewable Fuel of Non-Biological Origin (RFNBO) pre-certification from Bureau Veritas under the CertifHy scheme, positioning itself as one of the two Indian firms with this certification. This achievement allows Hygenco to export green ammonia to the European Union, emphasizing its focus on sustainable energy solutions and global decarbonization efforts. The upcoming green ammonia plant in Odisha, set to have an annual production capacity of 1.1 million tons, showcases the company's dedication to green energy. Bureau Veritas' involvement in auditing Hygenco's processes underscores the significance of complying with EU regulations and international standards in the renewable energy sector. The project's phased approach, with Phase 1 and Phase 2 designed for 600 tons per day, aims to commence operations by 2027.
