The Australian government has entered into a significant agreement with Germany, receiving a $660 million boost for the country's green hydrogen industry. This joint declaration aims to negotiate new green hydrogen supply chains and secure European buyers for Australia's renewable hydrogen producers. The deal, equally funded by both governments, will be integrated into Germany's H2Global auction mechanism, managed by the non-profit H2Global. The collaboration extends the Energy Partnership between Australia and Germany to an Energy and Climate Partnership, focusing on climate action, energy efficiency, and the transition to net zero.
