Accelera by Cummins, in collaboration with GAIL (India) Ltd., has signed a Memorandum of Understanding to work together on green hydrogen and zero-emissions technologies in India. The partnership aims to leverage Accelera's expertise in hydrogen generation technology and GAIL's established natural gas infrastructure to explore opportunities in hydrogen production, blending, transportation, and storage. This collaboration is crucial for supporting India's National Green Hydrogen Mission, with the goal of producing 5 million tons of green hydrogen annually by 2030. The successful commissioning of GAIL's green hydrogen plant in Vijaipur, Madhya Pradesh, featuring Accelera's PEM electrolyzer system, has laid the foundation for further advancements in the green hydrogen sector. Through this partnership, the focus will also be on knowledge sharing, industry standards development, and the exploration of new applications for green hydrogen technology. The use of electrolyzers powered by renewable energy sources plays a significant role in producing green hydrogen and accelerating the clean energy transition. Accelera's track record in large-scale hydrogen production using PEM electrolysis, including projects in Canada and the U.S., showcases their expertise in driving the green hydrogen revolution.
