In a significant development, Himachal Pradesh's Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu presided over the signing of a Memorandum of Commitment (MoC) between the State Government and M/s Spray Engineering Devices Limited from Chandigarh. This agreement sets the foundation for establishing India's first integrated Manufacturing Facility of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API), Green Hydrogen, and 2G Ethanol BBN in Solan district, with a substantial investment of Rs. 1400 crore. The primary goal of this integrated facility is to create employment opportunities for 1000 young individuals. The project's initial phase will necessitate 30 MW of green hydrogen, with a future plan to scale up to 50 MW. Chief Minister Sukhu expressed the government's dedication to transforming Himachal Pradesh into a leading Green Energy State by March 2026 and highlighted the launch of various green energy initiatives. Notably, a one MW Green Hydrogen plant collaboration with Oil India Limited is in progress at Nalagarh in Solan district, positioning the State as a pioneer in the green energy sector. The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of timely project completion, setting a one-year deadline for the concerned company. The signing ceremony, attended by key figures like Industries Minister Harshwardhan Chauhan and other officials, underlined the State's strong commitment to sustainable development and green energy endeavors.
