Honda Motor Co., Ltd. announced a partnership with Nippon Steel Trading Corporation to conduct research on establishing a hydrogen utilization model in Thailand at Rojana Industrial Park. The project focuses on producing green hydrogen through solar power generation and utilizing it for various applications within the industrial park. Supported by a subsidy from the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, the collaboration aims to contribute to Thailand's energy policies for carbon neutrality by 2050. The research project will explore the technical and business feasibility of hydrogen production, storage, and utilization, with an emphasis on reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Rojana Industrial Park, which houses over 400 companies including Honda, provides a suitable environment for such initiatives. Nippon Steel Trading's expertise in industrial park infrastructure combined with Honda's fuel cell technology will lay the foundation for a hydrogen ecosystem. Honda's vision for a carbon-neutral society includes advancing hydrogen technologies for fuel cell vehicles, commercial vehicles, stationary power stations, and construction machinery.
