Honda has revealed a groundbreaking Class 8 hydrogen fuel cell semi concept, highlighting their dedication to advancing hydrogen technology in the automotive industry. The semi is equipped with a 120 kWh battery pack and three hydrogen fuel cells, enabling it to travel around 400 miles when hauling a heavy load. Developed in collaboration with GM, the next-generation fuel cell offers enhanced performance, doubled durability, and reduced costs compared to its predecessor. Honda aims to leverage this initiative to generate interest in their expanding hydrogen product range, including the upcoming CR-V e:FCEV. The company envisions a future where hydrogen is utilized not only in vehicles but also in construction equipment, power stations, and other applications. By setting ambitious goals for hydrogen and electric vehicle sales by 2040, Honda is actively seeking partnerships and customers to drive the adoption of hydrogen fuel cell solutions in North America and beyond.
