Hy24, a hydrogen-focused private asset investor, is allocating $50 million to support StormFisher Hydrogen's green fuel projects in North America. The funding, sourced from Hy24's Clean Hydrogen Infrastructure Fund, will assist StormFisher in advancing zero or low-emission fuels initiatives across various states and Canada. These projects are designed to leverage renewable energy sources like wind and solar to produce e-fuels such as green hydrogen, e-methanol, ammonia, and e-methane. Judson Whiteside, President and CEO of StormFisher Hydrogen, emphasized the importance of the collaboration with Hy24 in driving project development and positioning the company as a leader in the sector. The investment is expected to create long-term jobs in the communities involved and boost molecule exports to Europe and Asia, contributing to America's standing in the global low-carbon fuels market. StormFisher's upcoming project in north Texas, with an e-Methanol production capacity of over 120,000 tons per year, underscores the commitment to green energy production. Hy24, formed by former hydrogen industry executives, is a joint venture between Ardian and FiveT Hydrogen, with substantial funding capacity. The leadership team at Hy24, including CEO Pierre-Etienne Franc and President Laurent Faylollas, brings a wealth of experience to drive the financing of future e-fuels projects.
