The 2025 Dakar Rally in Saudi Arabia will feature the return of the Hydrogen Small Mobility & Engine Technology Association (HySE) team with their upgraded HySE-X2 off-road racer. The vehicle, designed by Overdrive Racing in Belgium, incorporates hydrogen fuel tanks and a supercharged hydrogen internal combustion engine. With a focus on advancing alternative fuels, the HySE-X2 will compete in the Mission 1000 category. The team aims to address technical challenges encountered in the previous year and improve engine performance in high-revolution ranges and fuel consumption.
