The Saudi Transport General Authority (TGA) has announced the launch of a pilot phase introducing hydrogen-powered vehicles in the private taxi sector in Saudi Arabia. This milestone aligns with TGA's dedication to adopting advanced technologies that promote sustainable transport practices and enhance the quality of life in urban and regional areas. The initiative aims to reduce carbon emissions, lessen dependence on conventional vehicles, and shift towards modern, clean-energy transportation options. Hydrogen-powered vehicles are highlighted for their utilization of clean energy, emission-free operation, environmental friendliness, and sustainability. These vehicles offer outstanding performance, efficiency, quiet operation, and contribute to reducing noise pollution. The hydrogen-powered vehicles have an impressive range of 350km and can operate for up to eight hours per day, presenting a viable and attractive alternative to traditional transportation methods. This launch is part of TGA's broader strategy to incorporate advanced technologies in accordance with the National Transport and Logistics Strategy.
