The German Training Week - Green Hydrogen was recently launched in Astana, Kazakhstan, as a strategic initiative to tap into the country's potential as a future hub for green hydrogen production. The event, organized by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), gathered over 25 representatives from various Kazakh industries to enhance their knowledge of green hydrogen technologies and market opportunities. Kazakh Vice Minister of Energy emphasized the role of green hydrogen in decarbonization and sustainable economic development. Both countries recognize the significance of green hydrogen in achieving a sustainable energy future and see Kazakhstan's renewable energy potential and strategic location as assets for engaging in pilot projects and infrastructure development. German Ambassador to Kazakhstan highlighted the transformative role of green hydrogen in various sectors and its potential in Kazakhstan's decarbonization journey. The head of the Hydrogen Diplomacy Office in Astana reaffirmed Germany's support for Kazakhstan's green hydrogen efforts, emphasizing technology transfer and business partnerships between the two countries.
