RWE Supply & Trading, a Germany-headquartered energy company, has entered a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with AM Green Ammonia (AMG) for the long-term supply of green ammonia from AMG's production sites in Kakinada and Tuticorin, India. AMG, a subsidiary of the AM Green Group, founded by the Greenko Group, will provide up to 250,000 tonnes of green ammonia annually. The ammonia production will be entirely powered by carbon-free sources such as solar, wind, and hydroelectric power, adhering to EU standards for Renewable Fuels of Non-Biological Origin. Deliveries are expected to commence by 2027. This partnership underlines RWE's dedication to hydrogen investment and low-carbon derivatives to support industries in meeting climate objectives.
