NatPower H has joined forces with DBA Group to design a cutting-edge hydrogen distribution plant in Venice, Italy, specifically catering to hydrogen-powered recreational boating. The station, located at the Maina di Sant’Elena, aims to revolutionize the yachting industry with a €100m investment plan to establish 100 hydrogen refuelling stations. Zaha Hadid Architects will handle the architectural design, and DBA Group will provide engineering services for the project's implementation. The collaboration signifies a significant step towards a more sustainable and environmentally friendly approach in the marine industry. Furthermore, the CEOs of NatPower H and DBA Group are optimistic about the positive impact on decarbonisation processes through these initiatives. The planned hydrogen station in Venice is expected to be operational by the end of summer in 2024, showcasing the partners' dedication to advancing eco-friendly practices in the yachting sector. Additionally, NatPower H's commitment to green energy is exemplified by their agreement to supply 4.5 tonnes of hydrogen to Hydrocell's hydrogen-powered vessel, Nobody's Perfect, over the next three years, further solidifying their position as pioneers in the adoption of hydrogen technology.
