Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, met Singapore's President Tharman Shanmugaratnam in New Delhi to discuss collaborations in clean transportation, energy transition, and road infrastructure advancements. Both sides agreed to explore further partnerships in sustainable aviation fuel, green hydrogen, and ammonia. The bilateral discussions also involved enhancing India-Singapore relations in diverse sectors to foster mutual prosperity. The visit coincided with the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties between India and Singapore, marked by the unveiling of a special logo representing the enduring partnership between the two nations. The logo incorporated elements from both countries' national symbols and highlighted key milestones in their bilateral history. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also engaged in discussions with President Tharman to strengthen the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, focusing on sectors like semiconductors, digitalization, and skilling. The collaboration between India and Singapore spans various areas including advanced manufacturing, healthcare, sustainability, and education, reflecting the importance of Singapore in India's Act East Policy and Indo-Pacific strategy. To celebrate the 60th anniversary, a series of commemorative events will be held throughout 2025 to honor the longstanding partnership between the two nations.
