From February three to six, 2025, the U.S.-Saudi Business Council (USSBC) led a high-profile business development mission to Jeddah and Riyadh, introducing advanced air mobility (AAM) companies to key stakeholders in Saudi Arabia's aviation industry. The delegation showcased next-generation technologies, including hydrogen-powered eVTOLs and hybrid-electric aircraft, to support the Kingdom's aspiration to become the leading AAM hub in the MENA region.
The mission was welcomed by His Excellency Majid Al-Kassabi, Saudi Arabia's Minister of Commerce, who praised the USSBC for facilitating the introduction of high-demand technologies that pave the way for sustained investment and partnerships. Discussions during the mission involved prominent organizations such as GACA, NCC, MoD, GAMI, SAMI, NEOM, PIF, and Riyadh and Jeddah Chambers of Commerce, along with private aviation entities like SAUDIA and Flynas.
The participating companies showcased a range of breakthrough technologies, from methanol-based hydrogen fuel cells to advanced weather analytics and vertiport infrastructure.
