PowerCell Group has announced the reception of a follow-up order for Marine System 225 from a prominent European marine OEM manufacturer. Valued at approximately SEK 41.8 million, this order underlines PowerCell's expanding presence in the marine sector. The 14 additional units ordered are set to be integrated into commercial cruise ships to provide auxiliary power to the vessels' electrical systems. This development signifies the increasing recognition of the Marine System 225 within the industry. PowerCell has observed a rise in orders for this system since its launch in June, with over 75 systems ordered by various customers, all to be delivered by the end of 2025. CEO Richard Berkling emphasized the significance of this recurring order, viewing it as a positive sign of the accelerating energy transition. He praised the leadership of major OEMs in driving decarbonization efforts and reducing air pollution from cruise ships, highlighting the crucial role they play in promoting sustainability within the European marine sector. Berkling noted that this milestone marks a new chapter for PowerCell and the market as a whole, with OEM-driven demand leading to the company's first continuous serial production.
