Solaris, a leading bus manufacturer, has secured a new contract to supply four 12-meter Urbino hydrogen buses to Artois Mobilités in northern France for the TADAO transport network. The delivery of the buses is scheduled for the beginning of 2025. Solaris will collaborate with the Transdev Group for the delivery process. Brice Bonavia, the Director of Solaris France, highlighted the numerous advantages of hydrogen buses, including emission-free operation, long ranges, fast refueling, fleet flexibility, and a quiet ride. The buses will be equipped with 70kW fuel cells on the roof and Solaris High Power traction batteries to support the fuel cell during peak electricity demand. They will also feature Solaris eSConnect monitoring and remote fleet management system for efficient operations. This contract further solidifies Solaris' position in the European zero-emission vehicle market, with past deliveries of over 220 hydrogen buses to cities like Barcelona, Madrid, and Venice. Additionally, Solaris is in the process of fulfilling an order for 22 hydrogen buses for Île-de-France Mobilités, showcasing its commitment to sustainable transportation solutions.
