Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd (SECI) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Germany-based H2Global Stiftung to establish a collaboration framework for green hydrogen initiatives. The partnership aims to facilitate knowledge exchange on market mechanisms and foster cooperation between India and countries that import hydrogen. The MoU was signed by SECI Director (Solar) Sanjay Sharma and H2Global Executive Director Dr. Susana Moreira on November 19, in the presence of various senior officials and industry experts. The primary focus of this agreement is to design joint tenders that align with India's ambition to position itself as a global export hub for green hydrogen and its derivatives. By leveraging the partnership, both entities intend to gain insights into global hydrogen market dynamics, trade logistics, and engage with stakeholders effectively, thereby supporting India's initiatives towards green hydrogen production and exports. Key figures such as HintCo CEO Timo Bollerhey, H2Global Stiftung Executive Director Markus Exenberger, MNRE Secretary Prashant Kumar Singh, National Green Hydrogen Mission Director Abhay Bhakare, and ACS Kerala K R Jyothi Lal were notably present during the signing ceremony. This collaboration signifies a positive step towards enhancing cooperation in the field of green hydrogen between India and Germany, with a broader vision of contributing to the global transition towards sustainable energy practices.
