Lhyfe has constructed a green hydrogen production plant in Tübingen, Germany, to support Deutsche Bahn's sustainable rail energy initiatives. The plant, located in the innovation hub of DB Energie, has the capacity to produce up to 30 tons of green hydrogen annually, powered by green electricity from Deutsche Bahn's portfolio. This project is part of the 'H2goesRail' initiative, where green hydrogen will fuel a climate-neutral hydrogen train operating in Baden-Württemberg. The venture aims to showcase the economic feasibility of hydrogen solutions in the transport sector, emphasizing the use of hydrogen-powered trains as an eco-friendly alternative to diesel trains. Lhyfe's involvement in this project signifies a step towards autonomous hydrogen production systems and integrating hydrogen production with filling stations on a large scale. With plans for a 10 MW plant in Schwäbisch Gmünd, Lhyfe is positioning itself as a key player in Europe's green mobility and industry segment. The company envisions significant growth by 2025, targeting customer deliveries in bulk in France and Germany. Lhyfe's expansion plans include developing customized solutions for green hydrogen production and distribution systems across Europe, with ongoing projects in various countries such as France and Germany.
