Accelera by Cummins and GAIL (India) Limited have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate on green hydrogen and zero-emissions technologies in India. The partnership will utilize Accelera's hydrogen generation technology and GAIL's established natural gas infrastructure to explore opportunities in hydrogen production, blending, transportation, and storage. By combining expertise, they aim to develop projects for hydrogen applications in sectors like transport, power, and steel. Accelera's advanced electrolyzer technology, including the PEM electrolyzer system used in GAIL's green hydrogen plant in Vijaipur, is a key component in this collaboration. The partnership reinforces GAIL's commitment to India's National Green Hydrogen Mission, with a focus on building a robust hydrogen value chain to meet the target of producing 5 million tons of green hydrogen annually by 2030. Additionally, the collaboration will involve sharing knowledge on hydrogen blending, setting industry standards, and exploring new applications for green hydrogen technology, aiming to accelerate the adoption of green hydrogen in India's energy landscape.
