px Group has teamed up with Hydrogen Solutions (HYDS), a key Norwegian player in green hydrogen production, to drive the energy transition towards a low-carbon future. This partnership aims to enhance the development of renewable fuels and power, starting in the Nordic region and later expanding across Europe. The CEOs of both companies emphasize the importance of safety, talent engagement, and decarbonisation in their joint efforts. px Group, operating in multiple European countries, including Norway, Germany, and the Netherlands, is backed by private equity firm Ara Partners. On the other hand, HYDS, with its hydrogen production plants in Norway, is backed by Dalane Energi AS, Sunnhordland Kraftlag AS, and private investors. This collaboration marks a strategic move in the hydrogen sector, following px Group's recent acquisition of Lifte H2 and HYDS's ongoing project developments. The joint venture will focus on optimizing plant designs, gearing up for larger hydrogen production facilities, and securing capacity for future projects. Concrete agreements and project announcements are expected soon, with the first Final Investment Decisions (FIDs) anticipated in the first half of 2025, shaping a promising future for green hydrogen in Europe.
