Enagás, GRTgaz, REN, OGE, and Teréga have jointly submitted applications for Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) funding to conduct studies on the H2med Corridor projects. These applications are endorsed by the governments of Portugal, Spain, France, and Germany. A webinar in Madrid was conducted to introduce the Call for Interest, with project promoters offering insights into the objectives and steps for participation. Stakeholders interested in the process can apply through the H2Digital platform on the H2medproject.com website until mid-December. Following the conclusion of the Call for Interest, the outcomes will be shared with the stakeholders. The European Union's commitment to fostering a hydrogen market is evident through initiatives like the REPower EU framework and the Net Zero Industry Act, which highlight the importance of hydrogen in the EU's decarbonisation and reindustrialisation efforts. The CelZa and BarMar projects, designated as Projects of Common Interest (PCI), aim to enhance infrastructure development within the EU, emphasizing sustainability, market integration, security of supply, and competitiveness.
