La Française de l’Énergie, a French renewable energy company, has secured a significant contract to supply electrolysers for the Agder Hydrogen Hub project in Norway's Hydrogen Valley. The €20 million contract involves the delivery of 20 MW of electrolysers for hydrogen production, specifically for maritime transport applications. The project, supported by a NOK 148 million grant from ENOVA, aims to establish 60 MW of renewable hydrogen production capacity by 2027. La Française de l’Énergie is collaborating with ITM Power for the supply of the electrolysers, with a focus on utilizing the latest-generation Neptune V units. The company's strategic move highlights its ambition to become a key player in the low-carbon energy market in Norway and Europe. The first phase of the project, set to be completed by the first half of 2026, will see the installation of 20 MW of capacity at the Fiska industrial park in Kristiansand. Additionally, plans for a 40 MW expansion in 2027 further underline the company's commitment to sustainable energy solutions.
