Adani Energy Solutions Ltd (AESL), a major player in India's transmission and distribution sector, has landed a substantial power transmission project in Gujarat. Valued at around Rs 2,800 crore, this initiative is geared towards facilitating the production of Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia in Mundra, Gujarat. The project encompasses upgrading the Navinal electrical substation, installing 765/400kV transformers, and constructing a 75 km long 765kV double-circuit transmission line to link Navinal substation to Bhuj substation. This move will bolster AESL's transmission infrastructure by adding 150 circuit kilometers (cKM) of transmission lines and enhancing transformation capacity by 3,000 megavolt-amperes (MVA), leading to a total network expansion of 25,928 cKM and transformation capacity of 87,186 MVA. The project was secured via Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) with PFC Consulting Limited managing the bid process. AESL officially took over the project's Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) on 20th March 2025, marking its sixth win in the current fiscal year and boosting its order book to approximately Rs 57,561 crore.
