Indian Gas Exchange Ltd (IGX) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Central European Gas Hub AG (CEGH), a gas hub operator in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), to explore collaborative opportunities in trading of natural and renewable gases. Renewable gases mentioned in the agreement include green hydrogen, biomethane, and e-methane as alternatives to fossil fuels. The partnership aims to enhance India's gas market by combining CEGH's European market expertise with IGX's deep knowledge of the Indian gas market. Key focus areas of the collaboration encompass trading of natural gas and renewable gases, market development, training programs, and operation of gas hubs. Both companies plan to exchange best practices, enhance technical capabilities, and promote the trading of green gases like hydrogen and biomethane. The collaboration also includes exploring the development of trading platforms for green gases and providing training programs to market participants in India.
