Topsoe, a leader in carbon emission reduction technologies, has partnered with New Energy Risk (NER) to offer insurance coverage for its SOEC hydrogen electrolyzer products. This collaboration aims to accelerate the delivery of green hydrogen projects by enhancing bankability and reducing the cost of capital. The insurance coverage includes performance assurance for commissioning, ramp-up, and operations, providing support for cash flow and project revenue. Topsoe's SOEC technology development has reached a significant milestone with the completion of its first factory in Herning, Denmark, set to begin commercial supply in Q1 2025. Additionally, Topsoe is working with ABB and Fluor to improve the cost curve for SOEC deployment through process standardization based on learnings from the Herning factory construction.
