StormFisher Hydrogen has partnered with MAN Energy Solutions to develop a 200 MW Power-to-X plant in North America. The plant will produce green hydrogen and e-methane by utilizing local biogenic CO₂ sources and renewable electricity primarily from wind and solar. Once operational, the facility is expected to generate over 50,000 tons of e-methane annually, meeting North American pipeline standards. The project aims to support the growth of e-fuel production capacity in North America while reinforcing American leadership in the energy sector. MAN Energy Solutions' methanation technology allows for the smooth integration of e-methane into existing natural gas infrastructure, providing a cost-effective and scalable decarbonization solution. MAN Energy Solutions will conduct tests in Germany to validate a quality booster for their methanation technology that enhances methane purity in the output, further contributing to reducing costs and accelerating global adoption of clean fuels.
