The Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology, Chief Uche Nnaji, has expressed the Federal Government's support for the certification of Nigeria's Alternative Petroleum and Power Limited (APPL) Hydrogen Polis project. The project, aimed at providing clean, efficient, and environmentally friendly fuels, recently received certification from the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) through Baltic Control Certification in Denmark. Minister Nnaji emphasized that this certification would enhance Africa's standing in the global green economy and mark a significant milestone in Nigeria's green transition journey. The project's alignment with international standards demonstrates Africa's potential to lead in climate-conscious industrial innovation. The involvement of international sustainability leaders in the project, such as DFDS, ECOnnect Energy AS, Bergen Engines AS, H2 Core Systems GmbH, and Longi, showcases a blend of local ambition and global expertise. This partnership signifies the scalability and replicability of sustainable industrialization initiatives across the continent. The minister reiterated the government's commitment to providing the necessary support for initiatives like APPL, promoting sustainable infrastructure, carbon emission reduction, and inclusive economic growth in Nigeria and beyond.
